At 21, I made my first million; by 22, I was ready to change the game.

Entrepreneurship isn’t just a career path — it’s a baptism by fire.

My journey started at the University of Virginia. Eager to dive into entrepreneurship, I fought my way into a senior-level course as a freshman.

Inspired by that class, I launched a moped rental business in Nantucket. I began with 15 mopeds, a folding table, and a cash box I bought for 50 cents. That summer was more than a season; it was my real-world MBA.

In academia, my business plans seemed flawless. In reality, they were hardly applicable. Yet, adapting on the fly, I turned a modest investment into $55,000 by summer’s end. The experience taught me that the true essence of business can’t be captured on paper.

This early venture was just the beginning. Over the years, I’ve refined my approach to entrepreneurship. The thrill of turning visions into tangible success remains unchanged.

Today, I use my experience to help others achieve their entrepreneurial dreams. I know how tough securing funding can be — the endless rejections, the closed doors, the demands that ignore potential.

That’s why I started Burns Funding. We offer a unique funding method for entrepreneurs without the usual repayment stress. Our method? We invest a portion of the funds to cover payments and fuel business growth.
